Hot Fudge Sauce

2BN-Tim Avatar
by: 2BN-Tim

This hot fudge recipe is ridiculously easy to make, and tastes so much better than store bought sauce, without all of the extra stuff like high-fructose corn syrup.

Ingredients
  • 1 C of sugar
  • ⅓ C of cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbsp of flour
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar (optional)
  • 1 C of milk
  • 2 Tbsp of butter
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 C of peanut butter (optional)
Directions
  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar(s), cocoa, and flour. Mix well with a whisk.
  2. Add the milk and butter(s).
  3. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring continuously. Boil 2-3 minutes, or until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Hot fudge thickens a bit more as it cools.
  5. Store in an air-tight container in the fridge (maximum 3 weeks). If wanting to reheat the sauce, microwave for 10 seconds each round, until the desired level of "hot fudge sauce" you prefer.
