Fudge Brownies

Super thick and dense, but extremely delicious brownies that'll make you want to lick the bowl clean.

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ C of melted butter
  • 3 C of sugar
  • 1 Tbsp of vanilla
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 C of sifted flour
  • 1 C of cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 C of semisweet chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F / 175°C.
  2. Grease a deep baking dish with butter and dusted with flour.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, vanilla, and eggs using a wire whisk.
  4. Add in the salt, baking powder, cocoa powder, and sifted flour until well combined.
  5. If adding chocolate chips or any other morsel, add them now and reserve a bit to sprinkle on top as well.
  6. Optionally, pour half the batter in the dish, layer some peanut butter cups or similar across the batter, and top with the remaining batter.
  7. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until the brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the dishware.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool entirely on a wire rack before cutting into squares and serving.
